Prada Trembled Blossoms

For the Prada Trembled Blossoms Bag, Prada put together this video to help launch the bag. Only a few people were lucky enough to actually get the invite and see the video at its first airing at the Prada ‘SoHo Epicenter’ store in New York. Prada is doing its best to get back at the tops of the luxury market or maybe they’re trying to sketch out a new section for themselves, aiming at a more artistic evolution and aesthetic with all these artist collaborations and projects, like this short film, which in itself is a nice piece of artistic work. Now, is it the best marketing move? I’m still scratching my head at that, I’m not sure how exactly a virtual girls journey where a fish that turns into a handbag and a creature-ish man of some sorts makes an appearance is going to make people buy an expensive bag, a bag that has a relatively simple/basic design. But I do give credit to Prada for trying, and the film was interesting.

FASHIONATION

Categories: Photography, Publications, Style

I love fashion magazines, all types of fashion magazines, and one reason I look forward to opening a fashion mag is to look through its fashion spreads. The photography work in those magazines is just simply amazing and eye engaging (you like that one didn’t you?). Now if you head over to FASHIONATION the sister site of The Cool Hunter, you will be able to see spreads from various fashion magazines, from all over the world.

Star Studded

Swedish born Ulrika Lundren has a thing for stars and she likes hand bags, so what does that mean she makes hand made hand bags for women with stars, and guess what she calls the line, you guessed it, RIKA. So regardless if you’re not an actual star or celebrity you can still have your own little star to make yourself feel a little bit more imporatant. And if you’re really in the need for your 15 minutes of fame just make a youtube spoof aout Britney Spears.

Ohne Titel

Now it’s been awhile since I gave updates on what I deem update worthy, I was going through this “damn, I hate all this rubbish on the internet” phase, I mean really how much of the silliness of everyone’s site being the same can one man take. I took  a brief hiatus, put energy towards interviews and immersed myself into even more magazines(print mags) than usual. What I found out was, I miss writing, and why should the good folks who know better and read TTS suffer because of the other follies that roam the web realm. Well, enough about me patting myself on the back and giving a how bunch of hoopla about much or nothing let me get into what this post was meant for.

Ohne Titel, one can only imagine how to really pronounce it, but you can be sure that you’re saying it wrong. The female based luxury clothing line was created by two woman, Flora Gill and Alexa Adams, who in part both worked for Karl Lagerfeld, so you all know they got skills, because if Karl Lagerfeld is a slam dunk Ohne Titel is more like a finger role(who can figure that line out). Truth be told, and I’m sure I’ve mentioned this many times before but I just love woman’s fashion much more than men, because no matter what, every time I see woman’s clothing I just imagine how it will look on females. I can’t, nor would do that when it comes to men’s fashion, when I look at Ohne Titel’s line I see a young woman in her 20’s to early 30’s walking down the street in NY mid October, with a matching and handbag, black heels, sunglasses (even though its fall and the sun isn’t exactly out), about 5′4 to 5′8 and a floating sign over her heard blinking, in neon, saying ’looking for Manny’. When it all boils down to the basics, these 2 woman know how to make great clothing and I love how they designed the entire collection around a black and grey color scheme. I still don’t know how to pronounce Ohne Titel, its just not coming out right, but I can give them a notch of TTS approval.
