Nokia 888

Categories: Design, Tech

I’m sure you’ve all seen images of the Nokia 888 concept cell phone design created by Turkish student Tamer Nakisci, but the above video shows how the Nokia 888 would functionally work if you had it and show some of the capabilities it would handle. If you want to see more concept cell phone designs like a maple wood cell phone or a scroll cell concept (also pictured after the jump) you can just click here.

Deus Ex Machina: wearable motorcycle

Categories: Transportation

Apparently some kids actually go to college and do something besides get drunk and party, junior Jake Loniak is trying to move up the ranks to be on the level with the guy who invented this. Loniak’s exoskeleton motorcycle, Deus Ex Machina is the future of human travel, and definitely the future in cool movie vehicles. The vehicle (hard to call it a motorcycle) would be in an upright/stand up position when parked so the rider could step into the suit/exoskeleton of the vehicle to start it, then it would lower itself in the 3 wheel drive position. With the use of 36 artificial pneumatic muscles the vehicle is able to move with the body movements of a driver, topping off at 75 mph and powered by lithium-ion batteries. There’s a video demonstrating the vehicles proposed movements and how it how would look like being used, you can watch that video here. I’m going on record and saying I think you will see this in a movie soon, probably Batman’s or James Bond’s next vehicle of choice.

Ryz footwear

Categories: Style, Tech

Ryz has taken the threadless concept of making t-shirts and moved the format to the footwear industry. Ryz allows anyone to design a shoe and lets it get voted on by its peers, the winning design will get produced and then sold online. The winning designer gets $1,000 and $1 royalty on every shoe sold online. I’m not exactly the spokesman for Ryz, so watcht the video it explains things a little better.

Viktor & Rolf

Categories: Style, Tech

The Viktor & Rolf website is like visiting a magical wonderland, even the music they have playing in the background adds to the illusion. But instead of following the yellow brick road you follow the black ribbon to take you through the land of Viktor & Rolf. While you’re exploring go ahead and take a gander at the video of their last fashion show, “DREAM”, “WOW” and especially “NO” seemed to be major themes for the show.

Make Me Laugh Why Don’t Cha…

Categories: Etc.

The day of the web video is so robust (that would isn’t used enough) and lively, just full of spirit like a cheerleader at cheerleader camp. And the great thing about internet videos is most of them are trying to bring some joy into your life the Judd Aptow way of pure laughter (does this post sound funny yet? ha). Ok, enough with the semantics  findthehumor.tv is this site I found out off the fluke one day and it did the unlikely it made me laugh. Now the site is a by weekly show meaning it doesn’t update that often with new sketches, but that’s ok you can just wait for the next episode to come like you did for The Office during the writer’s strike. Free Willy! I just felt like saying that.

Sex through the mail…

Categories: Etc.

Who would have thought reading those most likely fake but highly entertaining nymag sex diaries would actually turn out giving me any real info I could use in the real world. In the last diary which might have possibly been paid for by some websites made mention of a pantygram. So I did some research which means I googled the word “pantygram” and wala low and behold pantygram.com pops up. The gist of the gram is pretty simple you send a heart shaped sexy thong (not one’s you own ladies) that comes from the site, attach a little note to it and send it to that lucky man or woman (if that’s what you prefer) that’ll be delivered in a black package. So if you’re trying to figure out how to surprise that guy in your life with something he’ll actually appreciate this is it. Not that the watch wasn’t appreciated or a bad idea this just speaks more to the heart, at least in the aspect that it will get blood pumping much quicker than telling time.
