Created only using cell phone video camera this short film, Man Is No Island, by Jason van Genderen took home $20,000 as the winner of the 2008 Tropfest contest held in New York.

    This is so incredibly unique and touching. I work with street youth in my town. I wish this little video was shown on mainstream television stations at prime time and I wish it was shown over and over again. When I sent it to a friend he thanked me in 2 different emails saying the video had made him feel something and he had not been able to feel for a very long time. How many other people have trained themselves not to feel because of the state of our world? Congratulations Jason. BRAVO.
