You know the label Ed Banger even if you don’t think you know, because if you know Daft Punk or Justice (which I’m sure you do) then you know Ed Banger. Ed Banger record label was started by Daft Punk manager Pedro Winter, a small label with about only 6 or 7 artist all building upon a sound DP showed the world. And one of those Ed Banger artist is a young girl with a quick lip and hard lyrics named Uffie. Originally from Miami uprooted to France in her teens she now packs clubs and stage dives for a living. Uffie, 20, (according to wikipedia) puts a lot of people on their heads when she comes out with songs like, “Ready to Uff” (meaning, ready to fuck) and “Pop the Glock”. But one thing is for sure no matter if she gets some bad flack from some media outlets for her lyrics the people are eating it up, both songs getting played over a million times on her myspace page. The whole Ed Banger movement is ready to be embraced by the world even if the world doesnt know it yet, even if you thought you didn’t know about Ed Banger you did. Daft Punk started the game, Justice took it to over time and Uffie is setup to win the whole shabang, putting Ed Banger on the map wordwide.
